Join the game as Playmakers presents its Spring Elemenatry School tour, What’s the Deal?! A Comedy of Manners for Kids! This original fast-paced musical written by New Orleans playwright Morrey McElroy (Sheriff Rielly’s New Duds) and Baton Rouge composer Paul Taranto (Evangeline the Musical) introduces young audiences to basic manners in a fun and engaging game show format! While playing such games as The Pyramid of Play, The Wrong Show and The Food Feud (all based on popular game shows of the 70’s!) contestants and audience members are challenged to make good choices about Sportsmanship, Appropriate Public Behavior and Table Manners. The show also touches on such topics as sharing, phone etiquette, and whining (please don’t!). Students will recognize themselves (good and bad) and learn that making the right choices will earn prizes like friends, respect, responsibility and trust. In the end everyone is a winner!
The show will run approximately 50 minutes and is appropriate for grades K-5.

Tour cost is $500 (Outside EBRP there is charge of a .75 per mile, round trip)

The 2010 Spring Elementary School Tour will begin running Feb. 23 and finish May 20. Beginning in 2010, Playmakers will change the performance days of the tour. Performances can be scheduled to perform on Tuesdays and Thursdays                 during school hours.

Playmakers is offering a special deal for schools who would like to book two shows back to back on the same day! Save 10% of the total tour performance cost.
